WIP of an assignment for Andy Kubert's Narrative Art II class at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. Also for Fabio Redivo's Methods & Materials II class. Also for my Art Jam I'm hosting (see my journal).

Really happy with how this is turning out. Taarna's face was a real bitch to get "down."

2H Mechanical on matte board.

Here's a link to the finished inks for the cover: [link]
And a link to the partner page we had to draw up and ink as part of the assignment: [link]
And a watercolor variation: [link]

Crits and comments always welcome, hope ya dig it.

Nicely done Dav!

I loved the original movie so much! IT was the closest to the style and format that the magazine was!

"Die Tarakian Bitch!"
I don't care how cheesy it was, I loved that flick.
You done Moebius proud!!
You should cell style color a version and then a painted version. Those would look so awesome!

Thanks a lot!

There's going to be a watercolor and digital version, since I would prefer to color it digitally, but the assignment calls for watercolors.
