Fernando Redux Inks

An assignment for Brian Buniak's Basic Drawing II class at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art.

Our first assignment of our first year Basic Drawing class was to create a pencil illustration that featured a man, a woman, an animal, a vehicle, a weapon, and an example of architecture and of vegetation. Brian essentially had us do the same assignment, as a way of gauging our drawing abilities. Only difference is that inks were due for this one, whereas we didn't take the last one past pencils.

I put a lot of work into this one, and while I'm happy with it, I'm not at the same time, if that makes any sense.

2-ply smooth bristol board. Figures and snake were inked with a #2 Raphael brush, while most of the architecture and structural elements including the vegetation was split up between 005, 03, and 08 Microns.
